Bill Lawrie is an award-winning writer, creative director and filmmaker who combines a passion for technology and neuroscience into a unique storytelling perspective.

He began his career as the first junior copywriter ever hired at Messner Vetere Berger Carey and Schmetterer.

Within two years he was writing and producing a 5-minute-film for Volvo, which became the centerpiece of their national brand advertising campaign.

In the years that followed, he produced, and oversaw, work for a wide range of blue chip brands, including Club Med, New Balance, Phillips Electronics, and MCI. He also helped lead successful pitches for Evian, Universal Studios Theme Parks, Reckitt Benckiser Foods and Peroni beer, among others.

The first commercial he ever directed, for Frank's Red Hot Sauce, was shortlisted at the Cannes Advertising Festival.

This led to an opportunity to work with noted production company Taxi Films, which was led by Executive Producer Richard Goldberg, who served in the same role on Apple's Famous "1984" commercial.

He is the co-creator of a cognitive scouting protocol for athletes, about which he has had discussions with the NBA.

He is also the creator of "Belief," a computational model for quantifying belief.
